Kenya Model of United Nations-Kabarak University Chapter

KMUN is an acronym for Kenya Model United Nations, it is an authentic simulation of the United Nations General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. It is a student led and student run non-profit organization, with its participants being university students from Kenyan Universities. KMUN is affiliated to the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), Gigiri (Nairobi). The Organization has close to 900 members from 15 Kenyan Universities (Chapters/Agencies).

Kabarak University is a solid chapter member of the KMUN and its members comprise of students who are eligible for membership through registration of 200 Kenya Shillings paid only once. Over the years since 2005, Kabarak Chapter has had leadership of 3 Secretary General and their Secretariat which have attained success in participating at the 2007 East African Model United Nations (EARMUN), Nairobi. Furthermore, the club has made countless visit to Children's home the latest being Upendo/Hudson Children's home, Nakuru 20/07/2008 which was supported and graced by well wishers, students and members.

Noting the huge task that is before us and the challenges we face to overcome each hurdle, we try our best as KMUN Kabarak Chapter to fulfill our obligation as the generation making our future a reality where the goals we strive to achieve comes to past and lessons learnt help in our future development as a Nation and Peoples of the World.
