Chairman's remarks (2006/7)
Student government which is known as Kabarak university student organization (KUSO) is the key organ representing student interest at all times.This we do with the conscience of not conflicting with the mission and vision of the institution. I must say that Kabarak University is still growing and it has the potential of being the best University in Africa.
Our main aim as the fourth group of student leaders is to ensure that we come up with the student constitution which is a very important document in governing and regulating the student leadership and activities. This we are building from the great work which was started by our predecessors.

STUDENTS COUNCIL FUNCTIONS
Composition:
The students Council consists of all the thirteen representatives elected by the students’ body through secret ballot as defined in the constitution.
Five representatives elected from the thirteen representatives form the Students Council Executive Committee made up of:

  1. Chairman
  2. Vice Chairperson
  3. Secretary
  4. Organizing Secretary
  5. Treasurer

Eligibility to Executive position

  1. Student holding leadership position must uphold the Vision and Mission of the University as guided by the policies of the Kabarak University.
  2. Must uphold the Christian values and represent the University in regard to the Christian functions.
  3. Must have given evidence of support and promotion of the principles and objectives of the University.

Functions of Student Council

  1. Shall ensure that students’ view are well articulated, well thought of and presented logically and respectfully to the concerned department or Administration.
  2. Shall endure that University policy issues and management decisions are intelligently and accurately relayed to students as concerns their rights and responsibilities in the University.
