In a spectacular display of institutional excellence, Kabarak University swept the top accolades at the prestigious Kenya Quality Awards (KQA) 2025 Gala Dinner, held on October 24, 2025, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi. This historic night affirmed the University’s status as a national pacesetter, securing two of the most sought-after honours against a field of Kenya's leading organizations.
Kabarak University was crowned the Company of the Year (Large Enterprises) Overall Winner. This is the highest and most coveted award bestowed by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), recognizing overall strategic excellence, robust governance, and a culture of continuous improvement across all University operations.
Adding to this monumental victory, the University also clinched the Service of the Year (Private – Large Enterprises) Overall Winner title. This award specifically validates the superior quality and profound impact of the holistic education and support services offered, showcasing the institution’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the expectations of its students and stakeholders.
To receive these national honours, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Henry K. Kiplangat, was present, accompanied by members of the University Management Board. The high-profile event, organized by KEBS, was graced by national dignitaries, including the permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Investments, Trade & Industry.
These awards are a direct reflection of the University's success in meeting the rigorous KQA assessment criteria, which focus on five critical areas: Leadership, Customer Focus, Evidence-Based Decision Making, Engagement of People, and the Process Approach in service delivery. This double win demonstrates that Kabarak University has successfully interwoven a culture of quality into every aspect of its operations, upholding the core values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Being Mindful of Others in line with its philosophy of providing Education in Biblical Perspective.
The Vice Chancellor, in his remarks, thanked the KQA Jury and KEBS for recognizing the University's dedication. "This victory is a monumental milestone for Kabarak University. It is a powerful affirmation that our holistic model of education, coupled with stringent management practices, sets the national benchmark for quality and service delivery in the large enterprise sector," he stated.
