Deputy Vice-Chancellor (A&F)

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (A&F) is in-Charge of administrative and financial matters of the University. He deputizes for the Vice-Chancellor in his absence. The DVC (A&F) is an ex-officio member of every administrative committee of the University. 

Prof. Ronald Kiprop Chepkilot serves as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration and Finance at Kabarak University. He has 25 years working experience in public and private universities in senior administrative and teaching positions.  He has also served in Central Government as an Administrative Officer.

He is currently a Professor of Human Resource Management at Kabarak Univesity. He holds a Doctorate  Degree in Human Resource Management from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, a  Masters degree in Training & Development from University of Manchester U.K and Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a certificate in Management of Higher Education Institutions from Galilee International Management Institute in Israel.  He has published thirty three (33) articles in refereed journals and three (3) books on Human Resource Management. His main area of research is in performance management. He  was elected the Chairman of IHRM Nakuru Chapter and served from  May 2014 to April 2016.

He  has been a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management since 2009. He is also a member of the Human Resource Management Professional Examination Board.


The Registrar (Administration & Human Resource) is responsible for the management of Personnel, University transport, legal affairs, maintenance of University buildings and assets, water supplies and sewerage. Registrar (Administration & Human Resource) is secretary to University Management Board and Administrative sub-committees.

Prof. Simon Kibet Kipchumba is currently the Registrar Administration & Human Resource in the University.  Prof. Kipchumba holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Moi University, Masters in Business Administration from Egerton University , Kenya and a PhD in Educational Economics and Management from Nanjing Agricultural University, China.

Prior to joining Kabarak University, Prof. Kipchumba served as the Head of Business Administration Department at Egerton University.

Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial and business functions of the University. Finance Manager ensures safekeeping of all the funds, budget preparation, collection of fees and other revenues, payroll management and generation of financial reports of the University.

The Finance & Accounts Department is part of the Division of Administration and Finance. The department is headed by the Finance Manager who provides the overall leadership in the management of the University’s Financial Resources.
