Innovation and research-driven solutions are taking center stage at the inaugural Science, Technology, Research, and Innovation for Society Week 2026, currently underway at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, bringing together universities, researchers, innovators, industry leaders, and policymakers from across the country.

The national event is being organised through a collaboration involving the State Department for Science, Research and Innovation, the National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI), the National Research Fund (NRF), and the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA), with support from several local and international partners and sponsors committed to advancing science, research, and innovation in Kenya.
Among the participating institutions, Kabarak University is showcasing a number of innovative projects developed by its students and researchers, reflecting the University’s growing contribution to technology, research, and community-centered innovation.

Featured projects at the exhibition include KalenjinAI, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to promote indigenous language learning and cultural preservation, and Elevate Minds, a digital platform focused on mental wellness, counseling support, and youth empowerment through technology.
The University is also exhibiting LabVirtuoso, a virtual laboratory solution that enables students to conduct simulations and practical experiments remotely, helping enhance accessibility and experiential learning in education.
Also on display is the AI-Powered Crop Management System, an intelligent agricultural solution developed to assist farmers in monitoring crops, predicting diseases, improving productivity, and supporting sustainable farming practices.

The exhibition, running from 18th to 22nd May 2026, continues to provide a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in support of Kenya’s socio-economic development through science, technology, and innovation.
