The Innovation Challenge featured over 20 projects spanning key sectors such as digital agriculture, artificial intelligence and smart systems, financial technology (FinTech), health and nutrition, and automation and smart infrastructure. Staff members played a critical role as mentors, evaluators, and facilitators, guiding student teams in refining their ideas and ensuring alignment with real-world needs.
Among the outstanding innovations presented were Camoda; Farm Lease, a digital agricultural land-leasing marketplace; Moringa Enriched Cookies aimed at addressing micronutrient deficiency; the Universal Health Identity Card (UNHID); Nexus and Trustpay financial platforms; SafeguardAI and Eveshield AI safety systems; Smart Attend for attendance management; KalenjinAI for Swahili–Kalenjin translation; Agrimind for smart agriculture insights; and Purposepay Harambee Safe for secure fundraising. Additional projects focused on nutrition, diagnostics, herbal products, and energy solutions, demonstrating strong relevance to community needs.
