Our January 2026 Intake freshmen have officially begun their university journey following the commencement of the orientation programme for newly admitted students. The programme marks a significant milestone as students transition into university life and are introduced to academic requirements, campus culture, and the wide range of support services available to them.
The opening sessions featured an awareness forum conducted by the University’s Guidance and Counselling Department in collaboration with the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA). The forum focused on sensitising freshmen on the dangers of drug and substance abuse, highlighting the health, academic, and social risks associated with such behaviours. Students were also guided on making responsible decisions and adopting positive lifestyle choices throughout their academic journey.

The engagement with NACADA underscores Kabarak University’s commitment to holistic education that extends beyond academic excellence to include character formation, discipline, and student well-being. By equipping freshmen with essential life skills at the onset of their university experience, the University continues to promote a safe, supportive, and values-driven learning environment.
The orientation programme will continue with a series of sessions designed to familiarise freshmen with university policies, academic expectations, student services, and campus life, ensuring a smooth transition and successful integration into the Kabarak University community.
