Kabarak University AYLF Chapter Joins Africa's Future Leaders at Mount Kenya University Summit

On October 26, 2024, Kabarak University's Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF) chapter took a significant step in advancing its mission to nurture impactful leaders by attending the annual AYLF Leadership Summit at Mount Kenya University’s Main Campus. With this year’s theme, “Shaping the Future of Leadership in Africa,” the summit aimed to strengthen Africa's leadership foundation—a goal that resonates deeply within the Kabarak University community.

A Day of Community Service Activity at Nakuru City Campus

On October 25th, 2024, the vibrant peer counselors at Nakuru City Campus, led by the esteemed Campus Counselor, Ms. Veronicah Kombich, embarked on a fulfilling environmental activity. Inspired by the words of Elizabeth Andrew, "Volunteers don't necessarily have the time; they just have the heart," our dedicated peer counselors spared time from their busy schedules to contribute to a greener future.

Kabarak University Celebrates Mazingira Day in Style at Emining Special School for the Visually Impaired

On Thursday, 10th October 2024, Kabarak University marked Mazingira Day with a heartwarming and impactful celebration at Emining Special School for the Visually Impaired. Led by Rhoda Chemoiwo of the Procurement Department and Pr. Esther Mwende Kapsir of Student Affairs, the university’s staff, students, and friends came together for a day of service. The event saw the participation of diverse groups, including Peer Counsellors, Christian Union, Red Cross, Kenya Model United Nations, and other departments. Their collective presence made this day truly memorable for the students and staff of the institution, embodying the essence of unity and selflessness.

Kabarak University Wraps Up a Successful Health Awareness Week with Gratitude

This past week, Kabarak University concluded its Health Awareness Week, which ran from the 23rd to the 27th of September, 2024. The week was filled with impactful sessions and activities aimed at promoting holistic well-being, particularly focusing on sexual and reproductive health, cancer screening, HIV and STI prevention, and psychoeducation. Organized by the Kabarak University Counselling Section in collaboration with Dandelion Africa, the event was a resounding success, engaging students and staff from both the Main and City Campuses.

Kabarak University's Empowerment Club Embarks on Community Service at Haven of Hope Children's Home

On Saturday, 27th July 2024, Kabarak University AYLF chapter members embarked on a hiking expedition. Led by Christopher Nyakundi, the current chapter coordinator, and accompanied by Ms. Veronicah Kombich, 38 club members set off on this adventure. Despite the chilly morning, the students were brimming with enthusiasm for the day ahead.

Mental Health Awareness Week at Nakuru City Campus

8th July 2024 marked the beginning of mental health awareness week at Nakuru City Campus. The week-long activity was organized by the counseling section led by the campus counselor Ms.Veronicah Kombich supported by a vibrant team of peer counselors. The theme of the activity was campus relationships.
