Meru Technical College Benchmarks Digital Integration at Kabarak University

Meru Technical College visited Kabarak University for a benchmarking exercise, focusing on how we have integrated digital solutions in ICT, e-learning, and online pedagogy. The team was hosted by the Kabarak University Online (KABUO) directorate and the ICT Department, who gave a walkthrough of our digital ecosystem.

The Meru team observed how Kabarak uses these systems to blend academic rigor with digital flexibility, therefore offering distance learning.

The tour included a visit to the ICT offices and the university’s data server room, which houses critical systems that support both academic and administrative operations. The Meru team gained valuable insights into how Kabarak University ensures data security, maintains reliable connectivity, and provides uninterrupted digital services to students and staff.

During interactive sessions, Kabarak staff shared strategies used to maintain quality in hybrid and fully online programs, including support structures, guides, and user documentation (like e-learning guides on internal intranet forums) that help faculty and students navigate these systems.
