Kabarak University Medical Team Undergoes Specialized CME Training

Investing in the growth of our healthcare professionals is at the heart of Kabarak University’s mission. This morning, the Kabarak University Medical Team gathered at the ODeL Centre for an intensive Continuous Medical Education (CME) session aimed at enhancing both knowledge and technical expertise. Chaired by Dr. Jonathan Nthusi, Senior Medical Officer in Charge of the Medical Centre, and attended by the dedicated university medical staff, the training underscores our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical service delivery within the institution.

This essential CME event was made possible through a strategic partnership with Sai Pharmaceuticals (Indoco branch), who sponsored the session. Such collaborations between the university and industry leaders are vital in ensuring that our medical personnel stay abreast of the latest advancements in pharmaceutical care and clinical practices. By bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry innovation, the training provided our staff with the tools necessary to navigate the evolving complexities of modern healthcare.

The training was grounded in several key objectives aimed at transforming patient outcomes and internal operational efficiency. According to the session modules, the CME is essential as it improves patient safety and enhances the quality of medical care provided to the Kabarak community. Furthermore, the session focused on the "soft skills" of medical practice by promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff, which effectively reduces workplace conflicts and ensures the continuity of care for all patients visiting the university health facilities.

Our university views the health and well-being of its students and staff as a sacred trust. This training serves as a testament to our ongoing efforts to nurture a medical team that is not only technically proficient but also collaborative and patient-centered. We extend our gratitude to the university medical staff, and Sai Pharmaceuticals for their efforts and dedication to advancing healthcare excellence, ensuring that Kabarak remains a safe and healthy environment for all to thrive.
