Access to healthcare at Kabarak University is taking another step forward with the commissioning of new diagnostic and physiotherapy equipment at the KABU Medical Centre.

The equipment was commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat, alongside members of the University Management, marking another investment in strengthening healthcare services for students, staff, their families and the surrounding community.

Among the newly commissioned diagnostic equipment are a Digital X-Ray Machine, Ultrasound Scanner and Electrocardiography (ECG) Machine. The new technology will enhance the Centre’s capacity to provide timely diagnostic services, including imaging, obstetric and gynaecological assessments, as well as cardiovascular evaluation.

By bringing these services closer to clients, the Medical Centre is expected to reduce referrals for essential diagnostic procedures, improving convenience while minimising the time and costs associated with seeking services outside the University.

The commissioning also featured an expanded Physiotherapy Unit, equipped with new therapeutic equipment to support a wider range of preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions.
