Hosted by the School of Pharmacy and the International Cancer Institute
Cancer remains the third leading cause of mortality in Kenya, with 44,726 new cases reported in 2022. In response, the Kabarak University School of Pharmacy and International Cancer Institute Conference provides a premier platform for sharing research, fostering dialogue, and advancing solutions across the oncology spectrum.
The conference brings together oncologists, oncology pharmacists, nurses, researchers, and students to explore critical sub-themes, including patient care, interventional clinical trials, pharmaceutical manufacturing, access to medicines, healthcare policy, and workforce training in oncology. By aligning with Pillar 5 of the National Cancer Control Strategy 2023–2027, the event emphasizes research-driven approaches to cancer prevention, control, and treatment.
Participants will benefit from keynote presentations by global thought leaders, engaging panel discussions, and rich networking opportunities. Pharmaceutical industry representatives also have the chance to showcase innovative products and technologies while connecting with potential collaborators and clients within the oncology space.
This conference serves as a vital hub for advancing knowledge, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening Kenya’s oncology sector.
