Exploring Knowledge Beyond Books: Library Open Week 2026 Begins

Kabarak University has officially launched its Library Open Week 2026, a dynamic and engaging initiative designed to showcase the evolving role of the university library in teaching, learning, and research.

Running from 23rd to 26th March 2026, the Open Week is being held at both the Main Campus and the Nakuru City Campus libraries, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to explore a wide range of academic resources and services.
Under the theme “Beyond Books – Discover, Learn & Innovate,”  the week highlights the library as more than just a repository of books. It positions the library as a hub for digital scholarship, research support, and academic innovation.

Throughout the week, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including guided library tours, training on accessing digital databases such as EBSCO and JSTOR, research skills workshops, and sessions on the responsible use of AI in academic work. The program also features interactive engagements, faculty-led discussions, and practical demonstrations aimed at enhancing research and information literacy skills.

Library Open Week serves as an important platform to increase awareness of available resources, support academic excellence, and strengthen the connection between the library and its users. It also provides a space for feedback, allowing the library team to better understand and respond to the needs of the university community.

Students and staff are encouraged to visit the library, participate in the scheduled activities, and take full advantage of the resources available throughout the week.

Join us as we go Beyond Books, to discover, learn, and innovate.
