Today marked a significant milestone as the 2025 Nakuru National Agricultural Show came to a close, and Kabarak University proudly took centre stage. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat, was the Chief Guest during the grand finale — a day celebrated as Family Day — where he delivered powerful remarks highlighting the University's unwavering commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and community transformation.
Prof. Kiplangat was accompanied by members of the University Management Board, reaffirming the institution's collective dedication to supporting agriculture, trade, and technological advancement through academic excellence and faith-based values. In his address, the Vice Chancellor applauded the Agricultural Society of Kenya (A.S.K.) for creating a platform that bridges academia, industry, and policy — noting that such engagements are essential in propelling Kenya towards climate-smart agriculture and inclusive economic growth.
“We believe in nurturing innovation that is both ethically grounded and socially responsive,” the Vice Chancellor remarked, emphasizing the role of Christian-based education in shaping future-ready solutions.
Throughout the Show, Kabarak University's exhibition stood out as a beacon of innovation and relevance. From cutting-edge research in agribusiness and climate resilience to digital solutions for smart farming, the University showcased the talents and ingenuity of its students and faculty. These contributions did not go unnoticed.
In a proud moment, Prof. Kiplangat officially received all trophies and awards won by the University during the event — a testament to the impact and excellence of Kabarak’s programs and innovations.
On Friday, Kabarak University also had the honour of sponsoring the Official Opening Day Luncheon, further strengthening its strategic partnership with A.S.K. The sponsorship not only supported the Show’s key activities but also offered a unique platform to highlight the University’s mission, milestones, and transformative agenda in higher education.
As the curtains fall on this year’s Show themed “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth,” Kabarak University leaves a lasting impression — not just as an exhibitor, but as a national thought leader in academic innovation and sustainable development.
We remain grateful to the Agricultural Society of Kenya for the opportunity to be part of this transformative event and look forward to deepening this collaboration in the years ahead.
To God be the glory.
