Faith, Gratitude, and Blessings as Kabarak University Celebrates Finalists

As the semester drew to a close, Kabarak University held its final Wednesday Chapel Service, a special gathering that also served as the Finalists' Thanksgiving Chapel. The service brought together students, staff, and members of the University community for a time of worship, reflection, thanksgiving, and prayer as the graduating class prepared to complete their studies and begin a new chapter.

A key highlight of the service was the opportunity for finalists to share personal testimonies of God's faithfulness throughout their time at the University. Their reflections spoke of challenges overcome, lessons learned, friendships built, and the growth they experienced both academically and spiritually. The testimonies served as a reminder that every milestone achieved was made possible through perseverance, faith, and God's sustaining grace.

The sermon was delivered by Baraka Dante, a finalist pursuing a Bachelor of Pharmacy. Drawing from his own journey, he encouraged fellow finalists to remain steadfast in their faith, cultivate gratitude, and continue trusting God as they step into life beyond the University. His message resonated with both the graduating class and the wider congregation, reminding everyone that faith remains a constant guide through seasons of change.

One of the most moving moments of the service came during a special prayer led by the Acting Provost, Rev. Justus Mutuku, who dedicated the graduating class to God. He prayed for wisdom, protection, favour, and divine direction as the finalists prepare to enter the workplace, pursue further studies, and embrace new opportunities. He also encouraged them to uphold the values they have cultivated during their time at Kabarak University and to use their knowledge and talents in service to society.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry K. Kiplangat, PhD, MBS, OGW, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Finance, Prof. Chepkilot, delivered a message of blessing drawn from the Book of Numbers. The Scripture offered words of encouragement and assurance, reminding the graduates that God's presence and favour would continue to accompany them wherever life leads.

As the finalists prepare to leave the University and pursue the next stage of their lives, Kabarak University celebrates their achievements and wishes them every success in their future endeavours. Though their time on campus is coming to an end, the values, knowledge, friendships, and experiences they have gained will continue to shape their lives as they strive to make a meaningful difference in their communities and beyond.
