Kabarak University has deepened its role in shaping future healthcare professionals through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the County Government of Kericho. This strategic agreement, signed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat, PhD, MBS, OGW, and Governor H.E. Dr. Erick Mutai, PhD, grants students from Kabarak’s School of Medicine, Health Sciences, and Pharmacy access to Kericho County health facilities for clinical training. Designed to provide hands-on experience in real healthcare settings, the collaboration bridges the gap between theory and practice.
Present at the signing were key university officials, including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) Prof. John Ochola and Dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences Prof. Pamela Kimeto, alongside senior county health leaders, highlighting a shared vision to develop a highly skilled, community-focused health workforce.

During the ceremony, Prof. Kiplangat emphasized that the partnership not only offers valuable student training opportunities but also fosters health research and innovation through collaboration with county health institutions. He reaffirmed the University’s mission to serve the nation by cultivating professionals who are both academically excellent and morally upright, driven by a commitment to service.
The university continues to invest in modern facilities, experienced faculty, and strategic partnerships to ensure its graduates are industry-ready and equipped to transform healthcare systems in Kenya and beyond.
