Kabarak University today hosted officers from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) for an inspection visit aimed at assessing the implementation and delivery of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences programme since its inception in September 2025.
The inspection team was led by Patrick Kisabei and included Josephine Rioki, Nancy Bowen, and Kennedy Muna. The visit focused on evaluating key areas of the programme, including academic delivery, laboratory infrastructure, staffing, training resources, quality assurance systems, and overall compliance with professional and regulatory standards. The assessment provided an opportunity for the Board to review the University’s progress in delivering quality training aligned with the expectations of the medical laboratory profession.
During the inspection, the team toured the University’s modern laboratory facilities and engaged with members of faculty on various aspects of programme implementation. Discussions also centred on strengthening practical training, maintaining professional standards, and ensuring that graduates are adequately prepared to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.
The University further acknowledged and appreciated the continued guidance and support provided by KMLTTB in strengthening the quality of medical laboratory sciences education
Since the launch of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences programme, Kabarak University has continued to position itself as a centre for quality healthcare training by strengthening innovation, practical learning, and adherence to professional standards.
