Kabarak School of Law Shines Bright at the Kenya Universities Debate Championship

The Kenya Universities Debate Championship (KUDC) holds a special place in the world of competitive debate, serving as a battleground for intellectual clashes and acting as a nurturing ground for fledgling societies looking to make their mark in the Kenyan debate circuit. Kabarak University, a relatively new entrant to this arena, has proven that it's here to stay.

Kabarak University's debate team, led by Gloria Masese, Tabitha Samba, and Noah, made a significant impact at the championship. Not only did they demonstrate exceptional teamwork and analytical thinking, but they also clinched the title of the second-best novice team. This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and hard work of these young debaters.

In addition to their team's success, Kabarak University produced a top public speaker, Ms. Faith Ndubai, whose eloquence and persuasive skills captured the audience's attention. Ms. Ndubai's ability to convey her arguments with clarity and conviction helped her secure this well-deserved recognition.

Furthermore, the excellence of Kabarak University extended to the judging panel, with Tiema David standing out as a top judge. Judges play a crucial role in shaping the debate by evaluating the participants' arguments, requiring a keen understanding of the topic and a discerning eye for the nuances of the British parliamentary system. Tiema David's expertise and fair judgment were instrumental in maintaining the championship's high standards.

Kabarak University's journey at the Kenya Universities Debate Championship serves as an inspiration for other emerging debate societies, exemplifying the spirit of perseverance, learning, and dedication that the world of competitive debate demands. Their remarkable achievements are a testament to the nurturing environment provided by Kabarak University, which encourages its students to excel not only academically but also in the art of persuasive communication.
