Kabarak University Community Encouraged to Press On with Hope and Vision During Wednesday Chapel Service

The Kabarak University community gathered for this week's Wednesday Chapel Service under the theme, "Growth in Hope and Vision: Preparing for the Future." The message was delivered by Pastor Deborah Joy Juma, who drew inspiration from Philippians 3:12-14, where the Apostle Paul urges believers to press on toward God's calling with faith, purpose, and determination.

Building on the University's semester-long theme of resilient living, Pastor Deborah reminded the congregation that resilience is more than simply enduring life's challenges. It is about intentionally pursuing God's purpose while growing in faith and character. She reflected on the journey the University community has taken throughout the semester, focusing on faith, perseverance, wisdom, character, and service as essential foundations for a life of purpose and impact.

She encouraged students and staff to embrace humility, noting that spiritual growth is a lifelong process. As believers, she said, we are continually being shaped by God's grace and should remain teachable, willing to learn, and committed to becoming the people God has called us to be.

Pastor Deborah also challenged the congregation to release the burdens of the past. While past experiences provide valuable lessons, she explained that failures, disappointments, guilt, and even past achievements should never become obstacles to God's plans. Instead, believers were encouraged to fix their eyes on Christ, trust in God's promises, and move forward with confidence and hope.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Henry Kiplangat thanked Pastor Deborah Joy Juma for the timely and inspiring message. He encouraged students and members of staff to remain steadfast in their faith, pursue excellence in their academic and professional responsibilities, and continue trusting God as they prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead. He reminded the University community that lasting success is rooted in hope, purpose, and unwavering commitment to God's calling.
