Following days of dedicated service, door-to-door evangelism, and impactful medical camps in the Loglogo community, the Kabarak University Mission Team took time on Saturday to reflect, recharge, and explore the unique heritage and environment of Marsabit County.
Serving on the mission field requires both spiritual devotion and moments of physical renewal. Saturday provided the missionaries with a well-deserved opportunity to experience the culture and natural splendor of the region beyond their core mission duties.
The team visited Marsabit Town, stepping into the bustling atmosphere of the local environment. Interacting with residents outside of scheduled ministry allowed the student missionaries to experience the warmth and daily life of the community firsthand.
To gain a deeper understanding of the region's rich history, the team toured the Marsabit Cultural Museum. The visit provided valuable context into the traditions, historical heritage, and diversity of the local communities that the team has been privileged to serve throughout the outreach week.
A major highlight of the day was the visit to Lake Paradise, situated in the heart of Marsabit National Park. Surrounded by serene landscapes, the missionaries took in the breathtaking views, spending time in quiet appreciation of God’s creation.
The outing offered a refreshing change of pace, giving team members a space to:
- Relax and rejuvenate after demanding days of outreach and medical care.
- Bond with fellow missionaries, strengthening team fellowship and unity.
- Reflect in gratitude on God's guidance and the lives touched during the outreach.
This memorable day of exploration served as a powerful reminder that ministry is not only about giving back, but also about appreciating the people and environments where God sends us. With renewed spirits and refreshed hearts, the Kabarak University Mission Team continues to give glory to God for a successful mission season in Marsabit.
