Today, we officially commenced a week-long orientation programme for our newly admitted students, marking the beginning of an important transition into university life at Kabarak University.
The orientation programme is designed to equip our students with vital information and practical skills that will help them successfully adapt to the academic, social, and personal demands of the University environment. Throughout the week, students will engage with various University departments and professionals who will guide them on matters relating to campus life, personal development, safety, mental wellness, and responsible decision-making.
During the opening session, University officials emphasized the importance of the orientation programme in preparing students for a successful and fulfilling academic journey. The sessions are expected to empower learners with knowledge and insights that will enable them to make informed choices and maximize their potential during their stay at Kabarak University.

The orientation activities will cover a wide range of topics, including faith development, campus safety and security, mental health awareness, leadership, student welfare, and the prevention of drug and substance abuse. Students will also have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with University policies, support systems, and the various resources available to enhance both their academic and personal growth.
All first-year students are encouraged to actively participate in the programme, as orientation plays a critical role in helping them settle comfortably into campus life while building a strong foundation for their future.
The week-long programme will culminate on Friday with an address by the Vice-Chancellor, who will officially welcome the new students to the Kabarak University community and share words of encouragement as they embark on their academic journey.
