Kabarak University is proud to participate in the Inaugural Elgeyo Marakwet County Business, Trade, and Investment Summit 2025, hosted today by the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI). As the county showcases opportunities in agriculture, tourism, and energy, Kabarak University is present to demonstrate how quality education fuels these sectors.
We were honoured to receive a distinguished delegation at the Kabarak University exhibition stand. The Chief Guest, Dr. Chris K. Kiptoo, CBS, the Principal Secretary for the National Treasury, visited our booth, flanked by the host, H.E. Wisley Kipyegon Rotich, Governor of Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The leaders engaged in a jovial discussion with Mr. Andrew Marangu, our Manager of Corporate Communications & Marketing. The PS and the Governor explored the university's role in the region's development while reviewing our latest prospectus. Their presence highlights the strategic importance of aligning academic research with national and county fiscal goals.

The event also served as a heartwarming homecoming for one of our own. We were honoured to host Ms Purity Koima, the current CECM for Education & Technical Training in the Elgeyo Marakwet County Government.
Ms. Koima, a proud alumna and the Valedictorian of the Class of 2014 (Environmental Studies), shared a special moment with our team. Purity is celebrating her journey from a Kabarak student to a top county executive. Her success stands as a testament to our mission of producing transformative leaders.
