A commitment to community service and the empowerment of vulnerable groups has earned Kabarak University’s Nahima Madey an opportunity to represent fellow participants of the President’s Award Kenya (PA-K) at a High-Level Stakeholder Engagement held on 23rd September 2026 in Naivasha.
Nahima was selected to join a panel of five young people in recognition of her impactful humanitarian work through a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) she established. Her project stood out for its focus on empowering women, including survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).

Her participation reflects the values of leadership, volunteerism and community service championed by the President’s Award Kenya programme at Kabarak University, whose unit is patronised by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat.
Through her initiative, Nahima demonstrates the important role young people play in addressing societal challenges and advancing meaningful community transformation.
