Community pharmacies are often the most accessible, trusted first point of contact in primary healthcare, yet millions of routine visits pass without proactive health risk screening.

ZINDUA is a digital health solution engineered at Kabarak University to bridge this critical gap. It helps identify people at risk of serious conditions early during routine pharmacy visits and connect them to appropriate confirmatory assessment and care.

The platform uses a simple five-question screening process covering hypertension, type 2 diabetes, tuberculosis, cervical cancer, and colorectal/GI cancers. People who meet the referral threshold are connected to an appropriate health facility or screening centre, with the referral tracked beyond the pharmacy counter.

ZINDUA combines a browser-based platform with an offline referral workflow, making it adaptable to both connected and low-connectivity settings. Its goal is to turn an ordinary pharmacy encounter into an opportunity for earlier referral and access to appropriate care.

Achievement: ZINDUA was awarded Bronze at the 5th Central Rift Innovation Week (CRIW 2026) at Kabarak University.

The venture is currently positioning for seed investment, technical partnerships, and retail pharmacy pilot deployments to scale community-level triage across the region.
