My academic journey began with a passion for both clinical pharmacy and academia. After much consideration and real-world experience, I realized that clinical pharmacy is closely intertwined with pharmacy academia. My interest in academia, even with its complexities, continued to grow, which ultimately led me to pursue pharmacy academia.
ADVICE TO MY YOUNGER SELF
If I could go back 10 years, I would tell my younger self to always put your best foot forward and strive to be an even better version of yourself. Better your best and improve on weaknesses. Focus on continuous improvement, and everything will turn out well in the end.
INSPIRATION TO PURSUE PHARMACY
Initially, I had the thought to pursue a medical course. However, based on my father's advice and the research I did, I chose pharmacy and have found it to be the best decision.
DRAWING TO TEACHING PHARMACY
My draw to teaching pharmacy students stems from a combination of positive experiences with my own lecturers and my unwavering passion for academia. Students constantly approached me to teach them, and after experiencing various fields of pharmacy through an internship, it became a natural progression from my student journey to now guiding others.
A CAREER MOMENT THAT GIVES GOOSEBUMPS
