On Thursday, 21st May 2026, Kabarak University hosted an exit meeting with the Commission for University Education (CUE) audit team, marking the conclusion of the Regular Institutional Quality Audit conducted across the Main Campus and Nakuru City Campus.
The meeting brought together the CUE panel and the University Management Board, where the team formally presented their exit report to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Henry Kiplangat. The presentation followed a week-long comprehensive review of the University’s academic, administrative, and operational systems.
The audit, which ran from 18th to 21st May 2026, is a statutory exercise mandated by CUE to assess institutional compliance with national higher education standards, regulations, and quality assurance guidelines. It also evaluates how effectively universities align their resources, governance structures, and academic programmes with their mission and student needs.

During the exit session, the CUE team highlighted key observations drawn from engagements with university leadership, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and governance organs. The review also included inspections of critical facilities such as lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, ICT infrastructure, student support services, and administrative offices.
The University Management Board received the report and engaged the panel in a reflective discussion on the findings and recommendations. The Vice-Chancellor described the audit process as an important opportunity for institutional reflection and growth, noting that it provides valuable insights that help Kabarak University enhance its academic programmes, services, and overall performance.
The exit meeting officially concluded the audit process, setting the stage for the final CUE report that will provide detailed feedback to guide further strengthening of institutional systems and processes.
