The Kabarak University community gathered at the Convocation Hall for its Wednesday Chapel Service, a significant moment in the University’s spiritual calendar marked by reverence, reflection, and renewed commitment to faith-based leadership.
A key highlight of the service was the Commissioning Prayer and Swearing-in Ceremony of the newly elected Christian Union and University & Chapel Choir leaders for the year 2026. During the solemn ceremony, the student leaders took the Oath of Office, administered by the University Chaplaincy Department, pledging to serve with integrity, faithfulness, and dedication while upholding the values of Christian leadership within the University community.
The service was anchored on the theme “Resilient Living: Grounded, Growing, and Going Forward,” emphasizing the importance of steadfast faith, personal growth, and purposeful leadership. Delivering the chapel meditation, Rev. Justus Mutuku, Acting University Provost, challenged students to cultivate a resilient mindset grounded in the Word of God. He encouraged the congregation to remain grounded in faith, grow in character, and move forward with courage and perseverance as they navigate leadership responsibilities, academic pursuits, and personal development.

The commissioning prayer underscored Kabarak University’s commitment to nurturing servant leadership anchored in faith, moral responsibility, and resilience. It provided spiritual affirmation and encouragement to the newly commissioned leaders as they begin their term of service in 2026.
As the newly commissioned leaders step into their roles, the Kabarak University community expresses confidence in their capacity to lead with humility, resilience, and devotion.
