Welcome to Kabarak University, the Department of Public Health. It is one of the academic departments in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) created in May 2016. Presently, the department offers a Master of Public Health programme and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health programme. The department aims at producing competitive professionals who will be able to prevent diseases, prolong life and promote health in populations. Through education, research and community engagement, we prepare our students to be leaders in addressing public health challenges and to advance knowledge and solutions that promote health equity and social justice. The training integrates faith in teaching and learning to produce competent qualified professionals in public health practice.
