On March 10, 2026, we hosted an engaging Life Coaching Session aimed at empowering academic staff and students with practical strategies for personal development and professional success. Organized by the Office of the Dean, School of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences (SEHSS), the event brought together the university community for an interactive learning experience focused on building resilience and leadership. The session was specifically designed to support both academic achievement and long-term career growth through meaningful discussion and actionable tools.

The visiting trainers from Pinnacle Leadership Development were officially welcomed by the Dean of the School, Prof. Gladys Kiptiony, PhD. The session also utilized technology to remain inclusive, offering virtual access for students away on Teaching Practice (TP) to ensure they could participate remotely. This hybrid approach allowed a broad audience to engage with the trainers and reflect on their personal performance and well-being.
During the four-hour program, which ran from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., participants were taken through a comprehensive curriculum covering five essential pillars of leadership. The facilitators emphasized self-leadership, focusing on identity, discipline, and time management, alongside the critical importance of values and ethics, such as integrity and moral courage. The training also provided practical perspectives on relational leadership, including conflict resolution and teamwork, as well as the necessity of accountability and transparency in all professional dealings.

The event concluded with a focus on the broader impact of leadership through service and mentorship. By nurturing character development and ethical leadership alongside academic excellence, the University remains true to its Moral Code: purposing at all times and in all places to set apart Jesus as Lord in one's heart (1 Peter 3:15).
