Kabarak Law School delivers a stellar performance at the national IHL Moot Court Competition and emerges second position in the country

Kabarak University, School of Law achieved an outstanding performance, securing 2nd place nationwide in the recent International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition held on 7 and 8 October 2023. Adeline Chelagat, Elsy Jemutai, and Joan Kiptui represented Kabarak Law School in the highly competitive final round of the Competition, which was organised by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Various law schools from across the country participated in the Competition. The team also emerged 4th position in the memorial writing stage out of 15 law schools in the country

The team demonstrated expertise in various areas such as International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, Environmental Law and Human Rights through their impressive presentation and writing skills. They defeated Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, School of Law in the semi-finals and faced off against Kenyatta University School of Law in the finals, where Kenyatta University emerged as the winner. Hongera Kenyatta University!
