The Kabarak University community gathered today for the weekly Wednesday Chapel Service, a special time of worship, reflection, and spiritual renewal. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Prof. Jacob Kibor, our immediate former University Provost, who retired early last year after a remarkable 12-year tenure, earning well-deserved accolades for his outstanding humility, unwavering dedication, and tireless service to the University. He spoke on the theme “God’s Provision and Guidance.”
Drawing from Scripture, Rev. Prof. Kibor reminded the congregation that the Lord is our Good Shepherd, one who knows us personally, protects us faithfully, and provides for every need. He emphasized the importance of listening to and following the voice of God, noting that divine direction often comes through obedience, patience, and trust.
“The Lord not only cares for us,” he said, “but walks with us through every season; guiding, providing, and revealing His purpose in our lives.” He encouraged students and staff to rely fully on God’s wisdom rather than their own understanding, affirming that those who follow His voice will never lack.
The service was enriched with uplifting praise and worship led by the Kabarak University Chapel team, creating an atmosphere of faith and thanksgiving.
As the University continues to grow academically and spiritually, moments like these remind the community of the foundation upon which Kabarak stands: “Academic Excellence Founded on Biblical Christian Values.”
