Our country is heading into the elections next week and as we break for the elections on August 9^th, it is important to keep in mind a few things. Our national anthem reminds us to dwell in unity, peace, and liberty.

Kabarak University has been home to most of you for the past four to five years. You have walked the corridors of this school for so long you could tell where you are just by the trees around you.

Kabarak University team of Daisy Jeptoo Biwot & Marion Jeluget Bomett, on Thursday made headlines once again by participating and reaching the quarterfinal rounds in 14^th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition in Geneva.

On the 15^th of July, Prof.Githu Muigai, S.C.  Attorney General Emeritus of the Republic of Kenya launched his book ‘‘Power, Politics & Law: Dynamics of Institutional Change in Kenya, 1887- 2022’’ The book that was published by the Kabarak University Press, details his exposition on the Kenyan Constitutional journey from 1887 to 2022.

The School of Pharmacy celebrated the Annual Pharmacy Day on the 8^th of July. The event whose culmination was the Gala was preceded by a series of events that included talks and mentorship sessions together with the launch of the second edition of The Druggist- a publication by the Kabarak University Pharmacy Students Association (KUPSA).

According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), Kenya is ranked fifth among African Countries with the highest number of mental disorders cases; depression taking the lead followed by a high level of mental distress and suicidal behavior. This is a growing trend, especially in institutions which is why the Student Affairs Department -Counselling section, in conjunction with the Kabarak University Medical Center conducted a whole week of sensitization on Mental health.
