Kabarak University made a significant impact at the University of Eldoret's 6th Annual Innovation Week, held from October 16 to 18, 2024. A team led by Dr. Andrew Kipkebut, alongside students Felix Masigwa and Agnes Mugure from the School of Sciences, Engineering, and Technology(SSET), presented their groundbreaking project, A-Eye. This innovative initiative utilizes computer vision and natural language processing to assist persons with disabilities (PwDs) in enhancing their mobility and navigation, earning top recognition in the technology category.
The Kabarak University School of Sciences, Engineering, and Technology, under the leadership of Dr. Peter Rugiri, recently hosted a pivotal session with students and faculty members from the Computer Forensics, Computer Science, and IT departments. The event, held at Sawia Hall in the School of Law, emphasized the critical intersection between their academic pursuits and the responsibilities of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

On October 5, 2024, Kabarak University welcomed the UmojaVerse Kabarak Tour, an interactive event aimed at enlightening students and tech enthusiasts about blockchain technology, with a special focus on Arbitrum. This event was designed to foster innovation and collaboration among participants through informative discussions and a hands-on ideathon.

On October 10th, 2024, Kabarak University Scouts, under the leadership of Scout Captain Boaz Masika Omato, participated in the annual Mazingira Day celebrations held in Nakuru Town East. The event, organized by the Nakuru County Department of Environment, aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.
